Memory Board honoring deceased law enforcement officers,Firefighters & EMT’s
The Mass is an opportunity to honor and pray for all active, retired, and deceased law enforcement officers, firefighters, and emergency medical personnel. It honors and recognizes the sacrifice of police, firefighters, emergency medical crews, all members of the public safety community, and those who have given their lives in service to their communities. The term “Blue Mass” is a reference to the color of the uniforms worn by many in these professions, and dates back to 1934. The Knights of Columbus has taken an active role in sponsoring Blue Masses in the communities in which it serves, to join with the community in expressing appreciation to these dedicated professionals for all their selfless work.
The Blue Mass brings the community together and gives spiritual support to those who serve the public in times of emergency but too often are unremembered and unrecognized.
Congratulations Al Norek on receiving the Distinguished Nominee Spirit of Stewardship award for Diocese of Superior! Well deserved -- a great model of Christian Stewardship.
