Dear Friends, Praised be Jesus Christ now and forever. I am forever grateful for all the blessings that have come upon me. I give thanks to God for the gift of faith and his loving invitation to share in his divine life. At the invitation of Bishop Powers to be your priest, I wholeheartedly accept the responsibility to work with you to build the Kingdom of God. I will cooperate with you in all aspects of parish life here in Phillips, Prentice and Catawba. I hope for your support in return. I welcome the opportunity to get to know you and your families. My sincere thanks to you all for your warm welcome into the parish. I am very happy to introduce myself to you. I am Fr. Madanu Lourdu Raju from the diocese of Nalgonda, TS. INDIA. I am serving as a loaned priest in the diocese of Superior, WI, at the invitation of Bishop James P. Powers. I like to be addressed as "Father Lourdu." I was ordained a priest on February 14th, 2005 in my home town. I come from a very traditional Catholic community consisting of 600 Catholic families. We had 36 priests ordained from my native parish. I lost both of my parents; however I have four brothers and one sister. My four brothers are married and my sister is working as a nurse in a nearby town. My assignments: 2005 – 2006 : Assistant parish priest at St. Joseph’s church Bheemanapally 2006 – 2012 : Parish priest at Nirmala Matha church, Haliya 2012 – 2014 : Principal and correspondent at Kanukamatha High School, Govindapuram 2014 - 2016 : Parish priest at St. Mary’s church, Jonnalagaddagudem. 2016- 2019 SS. Peter and Paul, Gilman cluster. 2019- St. Therese of Lisieux, Phillips Cluster I have always accepted God’s will in my life. I am happy to be here. I am looking forward to our journey together, as we make our way through joys and challenges and strive to draw always closer to our Lord Jesus Christ. Let us pray for each other. God bless you! |
